Pair of Little Owls.
Having been introduced into Britain in the 1870's as the UK's smallest owl. This species is now a common sight across much of the country. These birds would have been quiet rare in Britain at the time this case was produced, however they could have been sourced on the continent for Hutchings. A nice rarity all the same.
