Historical images of Rowland Ward

A BHTS First:

This is the first published image of the headstone of Rowland Ward & his wife Lina.

After much research their grave was located by Martin Dunne in 2008.
It carries the inscription 'To live in the hearts of those we love is not to die'

R.W died 28th December 1912,at the age of 64. His wife Lina lived on another
38 years, although she was 19 years his junior, she died 27th May 1951 aged 84.
If only RW knew how collectable his work has become almost 100 years after his death.
